On the Hardness of Learning With Errors with Binary Secrets
نویسنده
چکیده
We give a simple proof that the decisional Learning With Errors (LWE) problem with binary secrets is at least as hard as the standard LWE problem (with unrestricted, uniformly random secrets). This proves that the binary-secret LWE distribution is pseudorandom, under standard worst-case complexity assumptions on lattice problems. Our results are similar to those proved by (Brakerski, Langlois, Peikert, Regev and Stehlé, STOC 2013), but provide a shorter, more direct proof, and a slight improvement in the noise growth of the reduction.

On the Hardness of LWE with Binary Error: Revisiting the Hybrid Lattice-Reduction and Meet-in-the-Middle Attack
The security of many cryptographic schemes has been based on special instances of the Learning with Errors (LWE) problem, e.g., Ring-LWE, LWE with binary secret, or LWE with ternary error. However, recent results show that some subclasses are weaker than expected. In this work we show that LWE with binary error, introduced by Micciancio and Peikert, is one such subclass. We achieve this by appl...
متن کاملZinc-Nickel Binary Alloys Electrodeposition of Steel Using Pulse Current
Zinc-Nickel electrodeposits have been widely adopted for surface treatment of automobile steel sheet for high corrosion resistance. In this work the effect of pulse parameters on the Zn-Ni alloy electrodeposits was investigated. The hardness, thickness, corrosion resistance and composition of deposits thus produced were investigated. The surface topography of the deposits was also observed in S...
متن کاملRobustness of the Learning with Errors Assumption Citation
Starting with the work of Ishai-Sahai-Wagner and Micali-Reyzin, a new goal has been set within the theory of cryptography community, to design cryptographic primitives that are secure against large classes of side-channel attacks. Recently, many works have focused on designing various cryptographic primitives that are robust (retain security) even when the secret key is “leaky”, under various i...
